1. Who we are
Smoothfunnels is operated by Smoothware, a sole proprietorship (ZZP) registered in the Netherlands. We provide an AI-powered marketing funnel and landing page generation platform for agencies.

2. What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted)
- Billing data: payment details are processed and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card details
- Usage data: AI credits used, funnels and landing pages generated, website configurations you create
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and session data for security and fraud prevention
- Analytics data: aggregate page view statistics via Google Analytics 4 (anonymised)
3. How we use your data
- To provide and maintain the Smoothfunnels service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
- To improve the platform based on usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
- Contract (Art. 6.1b): processing your account and billing data to deliver the service you subscribed to
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1f): security, fraud prevention, and platform improvement
- Legal obligation (Art. 6.1c): retaining financial records as required by Dutch tax law
5. Third-party services
We share data with trusted third parties only to the extent necessary:
- Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing. Stripe is the data controller for payment data. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI generation (Claude). Content you generate is processed by Anthropic. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery
- Google Analytics — anonymised website analytics. Google Privacy Policy
6. Data retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days
- Financial records (invoices, transaction logs) are retained for 7 years as required by Dutch law
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@smoothfunnels.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
8. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required for authentication and security. Google Analytics uses anonymised cookies for aggregate traffic measurement. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
